Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by John Hayes
Tousif sent some slightly different pictures today to illustrate the reality of this community mission. First of all, he had told me that he was in the habit of ringing ahead to make sure that someone was available to take the food delivery. So I knew he wasn’t having to do as the pun says, but he did have to take this up to about midway up, which is plenty of floors to climb. So while this is unusual for GoodGym, to have a car-based activity, there is quite often a walk or run involved between parking and drop off. In this case there was a good bit of stair climbing. All especially good considering that he is fasting right now as well. I know that daytime physical activity is not ideal but while carrying food must be a double dose.
The cool box was out again, with a range of chilled food from Asia to the Mediterranean all staying fresh for homes in need around Birmingham.
It was a smaller round thankfully - 7 drops in only two postcodes was a bit lighter than he has been used to lately. Though one of the postcodes was B6, near where Tousif grew up and the home of Aston Villa. Which is also famous for being not quite as grand an area as famous fan Tom Hanks thought it was when deciding on an English football team to support.
