Report written by Alex Murtough (he/him)
I've always loved our GoodGym group runs.
Sitting in the middle of the week, they've always been little antidotes to a week's stresses. And they've always given me a little boost of fun, community, and confidence to accompany me through to the weekend.
And this week's time with this lovely group was as lovely as it always is.
We met a little earlier than usual and started with a quick warm-up - which, as my brother commented later that evening, certainly wasn't as good as Sara's the week before - hey, you can only try, right?
And we then jaunted over to a new friend of the group, Glyndon Community Centre, for our first indoor task in a while.
At the centre, we've been working on a few rooms for a little while. And this week we were onto skirting boards. Which are, in my mind, like nose hair - you don't notice them when their trimmed and neat, but my you certainly do when they're not*.
Over 40 or so minutes, we sanded, washed, and painted; making them ready and waiting for our next visit and a top coat. Some energetic cleaners in our midst also got to it with mops and wipes, providing a bit of spic and spam to the space.
And then we were back for a quick stretch before our evening goodbyes. Which is when we parted, and the brother and I certainly walked away feeling that bit extra energised for the week ahead.
Nice one.

P.S. Sorry, yet again, for the shoddy photos... sorting out said shoddy camera this weekend!
