In the news this week

• We had our FIRST GG Woking Mission last week - with Veronica and Anne helping out with their gardening skills! Well done ladies and if anyone else is interested in taking part in a mission come and have chat and we can explain more, or have a look on the website.

Off to church we go....

it was a humid evening in Woking and we were welcomed by a tourist GG member - Deborah. It was lovely to meet another member who has seen the sights of GoodGyms and she had plenty of tales to tell. We were off to All Saint's Woodham Church to visit the Parish Hall. Last time we were there we spruced up the foyer area. This week, he had plenty of jobs for us to do, so Conor, Anne and Deborah got to work. Sanding the skirting boards in the hall, with then myself chasing them round and cleaning up after them with the hoover. While this was happening the grass out the front of the hall was getting a good hair cut.

Once the skirting boards were prepped and ready it was time for the undercoat paint. We didn't think we would finish as this week we were a little short on numbers. But we couldn't leave a job half done. So we work well and we managed to finish just on time.

With our work done and all feeling a little high from the paint fumes we headed back to base. The run to the church is always an enjoyable one. With a lovely gentle woodland run there and then a little detour along the canal on the way back.
