Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Mridula Iyer
This bank holiday weekend, two goodgymmers (Vic and Mridula (me)) went over to the Marvellous Mrs M's house to clear some weeds. It was a glorious day so the pollen was out in full count so whilst it was a slightly itchy experience, it was still fun! Gardening missions are not my strong point having been a lifelong apartment dweller and plant killer, but having Vic by my side made the task a lot easier. We had a little chat with Mrs M, and we discovered at one point that afternoon her house was filled with 4 generations of her family! Post a quick pet of her cat, Vic and I headed off into the lovely sunshine. We decided to take a post mission detour to Surrey Docks Farm where we learnt about the machinations of chicken breeding (more complicated and scandalous than you think), and I found some enormous broad beans to cook for dinner! Thanks for a fun afternoon Vic!
