Steph has already started the mission when I joined him for the soup kitchen task. He was prepping the food items that go inside the shopping bag. Jin Merry was making a bag with sweet pastries. I joined her and we made 90 bags of them.
We then had a snack bag challenge. The task was to make 90 bags of snack bags consisting of pastries, drinks, chocolates, and sandwiches. Jin Merry, Steph, and I were trying to finish them within the 10-minute mark. But soon we were out of drinks.
Emma then asked Steph and me to do a shopping mission. We did a Lidl run to Lidl nearby and bought 36 packs of juices. We had to wait for 5 minutes at the checkout counter.
Steph announced that it was my birthday today to others and I got the "Happy birthdaaaay" song sung to me. Emma handed over some chocolates and Liz, the one in charge of the kitchen, made tea for both of us. In the meantime, we topped up the snack bags with cherries. I immediately recognized that it was from City Harvest as I packed them last Friday.
Emma then asked us to help with the clothes section. Steph was labeling the clothes based on sizes and I was sorting the women's clothes and arranged them in the table. Then I took a detour and separated Deliciously Ella peanut butter bars from a crate of mixed chocolates.
Liz, on the other hand, prepared a delicious dinner. Scottish beef pie and Lentil pie were on today's menu. Rebecca and I started serving the hot food from the counter once the time hit 6 pm. Steph was in charge of crowd control once more.
Soon after Sevan joined us and positioned himself for the crowd control at the clothes section and Divya joined the front desk when I was leaving. Steph like last time did a bit of extra time before leaving.
