Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
It’s Wednesday and we are happy, actually not happy OVERJOYED…
Why? Its that time, time for good, time for a run and time for smiles…
A new task this week, another one which somehow manages to keep up us out of the cold and wet that we have grown to love so much over the last few weeks ;-)
We had been contacted by the lovely Carolyn from Openage and asked if we could come down and give a space that is used by older people a deep clean. The centre has been in use for the last 5 years and is accessed by all the older people in the area. They have an opportunity to play games, eat, drink, do yoga, Pilates and a number of other activities to keep them out of trouble.
We believe this to be a good cause because as you know many old people are left isolated, this is a perfect way to bring them together in communities so they are not forgotten….
Anyhow we made our way steadily from the Hub, down through St James Park, through busy Victoria, into Pimlico and popped out perfectly at Glastonbury House on Warwick Way.
We were greeted with water and huge thank you before we even started… Listen very carefully to the briefing, which was a simple one. GET RID OF THE DIRT…. ☺ And that’s exactly what we did.. Some beautiful background music and some chitchat and 40mins flew by. I personally wish I had brought shades as the once slightly greyer blinds and wall surfaces were now a sparkling shiny white.
A huge thank you, some biscuits, more water and we were on our way.
Some drills, intervals, deep debate on the importance of flexibility and strength and we were home….
Thank you for your time my friends….
As always please continue to do small things with great LOVE….
