This afternoon I had a treat with Mr D, as not only did we have a long chat about family, friends and art over our coffee, he also told me about a song he had heard on the radio this morning. Apparently he had to learn it when he was a young boy, and hadn't heard it since, so it had transported him back in time. He had printed off the sheet music as he wants to try playing it on his violin, but for this afternoon I did some sight reading and we sang along together. That definitely put a smile on his face (and on mine)!
