8 GoodGymers ran 7k to help the Ebury Lodge helping them Homeless project. Creating perhaps the best sandwich production line ever seen in Westminster we made 250 sandwiches at least which were to be handed out to Westminster’s homeless community that evening.

Heading out on a (apparently) fake snow filled Oxford Street we nipped our way South through the Christmas foot traffic 3.5k to The Ebury Estate to meet the team.

Having just received an amazing late food donation delivery the lodge was filled to the brim with food for the rest of the weeks soup kitchen and food bank.

Getting straight into it, after a heated sandwich buttering debate!

With a speedy team of butters spreading away with perfect form and thickness, passing the bread over to the fillers who had their ninja sandwich filling methods down pat!! Egg mayo, pate and the old favourite Jam sandwiches were being spread, cut and bagged at an all time rate!!

Pretty much 20 loaves of bread creating over 250 sandwiches were prepared ready for consumption! All housed in delivery bags for easy carrying and safe Storage.

With just enough time to grab the 25 boxes left out from the delivery and stacked expertly in the lodge ready to be used later in the week!!

A speedy run back to base got the bloody pumping especially up the Green Park drag you round off a top evening!

Next week (our final session of 2019) we are bring along our own food donations to hand out to Westminster’s homeless to spread some Christmas cheer!! Sign up and see you there!

Enjoy

Joel
