SESSION ORGANISER
Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Liv Parker-Scott
Last night GoodGym Ealing was all about squats. 100 of them to be precise.
We had a killer session lined up and although it didn't last long, boy did it pack a punch!
We had 10 different variations including jump squats, pop squats, ski squats, sumo squats. You name a squat we probably conquered it.
Why, oh why?!
This type of functional body weight training can increase your speed, and decrease your reaction time for that particular range of motion, it also works to tone and shape the glutes - you know those butt muscles we need for running! Using 10 variations is so much more effective than your bog standard squatting as it targets ALL of the glute muscles (there are three – maximus, medius, and minimus) from multiple angles.
No need to thank me guys! I'll think of something just as fun for next time!
