8 runners ran 4km to help their local community in Brent
After apologies from Pritesh were passed onto the group, they participated in a quick warm-up. This was followed by the weekly news bulletin regarding the very important Christmas parties.........Get your fancy dress costume ready for the Good Gym wide social on Saturday 1st! Then don’t forget the Brent social after the run on December 17th.
B is for Brent!
Eight brave runners were then ready to set off to mouldly go where no good-gym-er has been before!!
The team were greeted by Ann who shared the great work of Mencap with those who were new to the task. She explained that the kitchen was in need of a spring clean, so the team sprung into action!! Pete and Karen cleaned the fridges, while Tabitha cleaned the sinks. The rest of the team cleaned inside the cupboards, work tops and floor. No nook or cranny was left untouched, as fridges were moved. A poor dead mouse was found behind the large fridge.
Didn’t we scrub up well!!!
Before long the kitchen was sparkly clean!! We said our goodbyes and Ann promised us more tasks in the new year and we ran back to base. After a quick cool down, we headed into our favourite pub for a well deserved drink!
Bring your festive cheer and favourite Christmas tunes next week because we’ll be decking Kingsgate Community Centre with paper chains and Santas!!
Get well soon Pritesh! We missed you.
