A fantastic five flyered throughout Penge and Anerley to spread the word about volunteering at the Crystal Palace Festival.
It's hot work jogging around, up and down, pausing every so often to open and close gates and pop flyers through letterboxes. This is all in a day's volunteering for our runners, who covered between two and five kilometers, with the added challenge of a fair few steps to reach the flats and the possibility of running from not-so-welcoming dogs en route! The cats though! My own walk/run involved at least three friendly cats, snoozing in the sunshine, watching the world go by.
The Crystal Palace Festival takes place each year and is happening quite soon, between June 11-17th. A festival on this scale can't happen without helpers, so why not get involved, there are all sorts of roles to have a go at?!
