11 people ran 6k to Suited for Success to drop off donations
We were pleased to welcome Catherine to GoodGym for the first time tonight. It is great to have you with us. The next mention goes to Richard who came up with tonight’s ‘pun’ this was due to the mixed bag of weather we had tonight. Sun, rain, a bit of wind and even a little hail was thrown in!
We set off on the short journey to Suited for Success and were warmly greeted by Thomas and Patricia as we arrived. We had a group picture on the stairs tonight, just for a little change. We then discussed doing a ‘suit drive’ on our next run to the charity, therefore we will be picking up donations from various offices and bringing them to Suited for Success. A great way to really combine a task with a run!
When setting off back, David led the way as we took in the Soho loop, we then ran through Brindley place back towards the Jewellery Quarter.
Intervals
Next on the agenda was some interval training on the canal. The group did six ‘efforts’. Richard, Aaron, Rob and David led the way, Kate H showed a great sprint technique, managing to get right up onto her toes. Kate E, worked hard on each interval all the way through the finish line. Catherine kept a consistent pace on each interval, which was fantastic work on her first session, as usual it was great to see the whole group working together pushing each other a long!
Once done and hearts were racing, it was the steady run back to 1000 Trades, just as we got caught in a little rain/hail, though it didn’t last long so nobody got too wet!
Next week we will be out doing good again, it would be great if you could join us sign up here.
