Sarah, Adam and Gosia met up in Wandworth today to help up Mr G in tidying up his garden 🌱. A similar mission was done by GG team earlier in the summer (including Sarah who came back today with a valueable knowledge about the territory and its main challenges). Plants have managed to grow back since then and - today - definitely needed a nice trim ✂️.

Mr G's daughter welcomed us at the door, giving us a little update on Mr G - he was still away and planning to be back at his place in April. Great, we have still time to get things ready 📆! She also gave us few hints on what we could help with today.

There was plenty to do so we grabbed the tools 🛠 and haven't wasted any minute. The biggest challenge was of course to get rid of pesky weeds that were growing literally everywhere; combined with tones of mud and colonized by an army of (lazy, slow and very long) worms it was hell of a work(out)! Special regards for the weeds growing in between the pavement cracks (we hate you 😊).

Once the initial cleaning was done we took old boards lying near the house and used them to cover the garden beds, making an additional protection for stopping the weeds to grow back. This is exactly what Mr G's daughter asked us for.

We collected 8 x bin bags of garden waste 🗑 (some of them were really heavy) and moved them in front of the door 🚪 ready for collection. Mr G's daughter was very thankful for the help and we think it will be worth to arrange a next mission there again, but closer to Mr G's arrival.
