The hour we spent at East End Women foodbank absolutely flew over today as we loaded deliveries to drivers, unloaded a massive food delivery, and organised the store room to make space for more! I only managed to crash the trolley once today and thankfully NOT when it was full of glass jars. Phew!

It was great to have Max along for his first good deed today- I loved the team work that went into this because he and Kate shared cycling and running to and from the task. Also on two wheels was Rae, back at the bank for another good deed while juggling life (kind of) back at uni. We also had a discussion today on the joys of different types of tea- definitely a winter/lockdown chat!

It's great to see the difference we keep making at the foodbank, so if you fancy bringing some joy to your week, we are back there next week.

This task supported
East End Women
A project supporting women with skills and training, education, loneliness and domestic abuse recovery.

East End Women offers practical courses for women to build confidence and skills around DIY, sewing, pattern cutting and basic trades. We also deliver the Freedom Programme domestic abuse recovery course, helping women to better understand the roots of domestic abuse and build confidence to identify warning signs in the future. In addition to this, East End Women also offer social activities and drop-in sessions for women experiencing isolation to meet one another, make friends and build local networks.
