Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Kash
According to some tales, Sevan and Kash did their last mission of 2022 together in Hackney before Christmas. Other sources say that they went to Camden to do some gardening. I'm going to tell you a different story.
On the last day of 2022, Sevan and Kash visited Mrs M for the third time. Previously, they assisted her with moving boxes she had prepared to donate or put in storage before her big house move. This time Mrs M needed help scooping and bagging the leaves in her back garden. There was an elephant in the room. It was already raining when the Ealing GoodGymers set off to Hampstead. As much as Sevan and Kash wanted to get that job done, the leaves were soaked and heavy. Mrs M wouldn't accept the GoodGym team getting even wetter outside. Luckily, there was another elephant in the room - in a picture frame on the second floor - and it had to be moved to the basement.
Sevan and Kash set off to move the elephant and other objects from the third and second floors downstairs. Carton boxes, plastic boxes, clothes, chairs, and plenty of Mrs M's and her daughter's artwork found their way to the ground floor and the basement. In Mrs M's household, everyone was an artist, so the GoodGymers had another chance to see and touch paintings and geometrical sculptures created by the family members. Going for the mission as a duo paid off - four hands came in handy when manoeuvring the large elephant picture and a heavy wooden treasure chest through the staircase.
Despite Mrs M's concerns about Sevan's and Kash's health, they eventually made it to the garden in the rain. There were two rock-like art pieces to wrap in plastic bags. The majority of the fake (but still heavy) rocks had been already packed by another GoodGymer, Sam. The Ealing crew was impressed by how he had done it - going for the mission solo.
After the last task (and an episode of accidentally locking themselves in the back garden), Sevan and Kash went back into the house to hear the praise from always thankful Mrs M and wish her the best of luck with the move. Then, they ran back to Ealing to celebrate the New Year. Or maybe not? Maybe there's another alternative ending to that story. Only time will tell. And only elephants will remember.
