Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Meanwhile at Westminster 18 brave souls met at Westminster University to prepare for a run down to The Salvation Army Homeless Service in Victoria to drop of some clothes and food for the residents.
A quick briefing of the ins and outs of Goodgym and our task and we were off.
As usual we weaved our way through central London, through St James park, a few sprints and we popped out in Victoria at our final destination.
We were greeted with surprise as the night manager didn't get the memo so wasn't expecting soooooooo many of us but he smiled and thanked us for coming.
We left the canned food with reception and all of the clothes on a table where the residents were able to come and pick them up as and when they needed to.
We were giving a tour of the building by Joseph and he told us all about why the work that they are doing is so important
Quite frankly it's because Homelessness is a reality of our society. From street homelessness to those battling addiction, the services they offer put the person and their needs at the centre of their support - enabling people to take control of their life circumstances.
We spoke to a few residents whilst we were there and vowed to return next month with more clothing that and more food.
A few glasses of water we said thank you, goodbye and headed back to base after of course more sprints, more sprints, more sprints.
Thanks for coming people, hopefully we will see you alllllll next week.
