Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Hilary (she/her)
I’m sure I can’t be the first person to have used the pun, but it seemed quite apt today as the heavens opened a couple of minutes into my cycle down to Beckton to drop off prescriptions for Mr D, Mr P and Ms S. There’s something quite enjoyable about a rainy run or bike ride (is it just me, or do you go faster?) and with suitable attire can defend yourself from the worst of the elements. The only problem is that there comes a point where I can see better without my glasses than with them, so it’s a good job the route down the Greenway and the surrounds of Royal Docks are well known to me now, as I’m sure they are to the other GoodGymmers who regularly do the deliveries. It’s a pleasure to be able to do this, a welcome break from the desk, and as always the folks at the pharmacy and the respective beneficiaries were very grateful for the help.
