Full house
It was a full house of six runners who showed to meet Bablu Miah from Trapped In Zone One at this uplifting, fun Friday lunchtime task.
Upon my arrival, the emulsion-covering prep of the wall for the new Determination mural was nearly complete, with paint tins empty, and spirits soaring.
The team had blitzed the area in a very short time, leaving an impressed Bablu simply standing and admiring the runners' speedy handywork with little else to do than clear away this prep from this perfect paint job.
Say cheese
The crew were so speedy, they even had time to pose for some fabuous pics - patiently striking poses blinded by the sunlight, but nonetheless appreciating the blue, blue sky and milder temperature.
And so it was a wrap - literally. As the runners bid farewell to one another, I rolled polythene sheets back up, detached roller-heads from rollers and nattered to Bablu in the delightful February sun.
Blessed
It was a lovely time to be out with one another; to be part of the next phase of this wonderful Community Space's exciting new installment and to chat to passers by.
Well done everyone - thanks for being such a tonic; such a great asset to the end of the week. Until next time...
