A 15-minute run from work took me to Limehouse where an artistic task awaited. Mr D's hedge needed a haircut, and my travelling barbershop was the answer.

The hedge was described as "head height" in the task overview, which was true - if I bent my knees. Mr D got the manual tools ready before I arrived but hinted he had an electric hedge trimmer. I resisted the temptation and quoted the GoodGym code of conduct, which forbids the use of power tools. 😇

Mr D moved his and his wife's electric scooters out of the street while I started trimming the hedge from the house side, and then he left me to do my magic. Having 90 minutes, I awakened a perfectionist within and stretched the work on the task to make the hedge a bit more refined. I spent some time pruning another plant that was a trip hazard, pulling a few weeds, and then litter picking in the garden. Mr D provided me with the black bin bags for the trimmings, so in theory, anything unwanted could go there.

When I was pruning, friendly neighbours came over and asked if Mr D was ok and whether he was home. Did I look like someone who does a different kind of clearing with sharp tools and bin bags? On the other hand, the passers-by were giving me thumbs-ups and complimented my hedge-trimming craft 😎

Approaching the 90-minute limit, I swept the cuttings, packed them into black bags and disposed of them in the communal bin as requested.
