Painting may have been the description of the task but that job had already been done, so we were set to work digging and sifting soil from the mound, to make nice and fine soil ready for potting. Different hole digging styles were on display, with Petra's getting deeper and deeper and Rob's getting wider and wider. Neither uncovered much treasure sadly and definitely no gold, just a bucket full of rocks and glass.

Meanwhile, Zoe and Craig were forking and raking flat an area down below ready for some paving stones. They soon filled a container full of roots and weeds seemed very chuffed with their work after - and so they should be!

We were rewarded with coffee and cake at half time and had a good chat about dog adoption and our favorite GG tasks - which the Hogsmill community garden is absolutely one of them.
