"You mean the overgrown jungle?" - Mr M
There were 2 overgrown jungles outside Mr M's front door. He had good news for Kash and Sevan though, only the one on the right hand side was his responsibility. Phew!
Asking Mr M what needed to be done, apart from a large rose bush that needed to be trimmed, everything else was to be removed. Pointing at the plants in front of his window, Mr M said:
"I hate them! Get rid of them!"
They were so tall that Mr M could see outside. There was also a 2 metre tall bush that was encroaching on the path, so much so that Mr M's was having trouble getting his mobility scooter through.
Sevan grabbed some loppers, Kash a pair of shears and they discovered that the rose bush in the middle was the only thing actually growing in soil. Everything else, even the big stuff, was coming up through the cracks between things. As they started chopping on one side of the jungle, Mr M opened his window on the other and started playing musical scores from film and theatre. Sevan tackled the giant bush, while Kash chopped the weeds at the front.
The GoodGymers then started working towards the music, taking down the long stems. Cut by cut, they got closer to the music coming from Mr M's living room and by the end of the mission, they'd reached the window, letting Mr M's musical scores out and brightening the indoors. The 2 empty parking spaces on the street were repurposed to chop and pack the long branches, with 10 bags being filled and prepared for the council to take away.
