I arrived at Mr. T's house noticing there was a car in the driveway - visitor(s). I offered to come back another time if he had company but he was having none of it; his brother was visiting and he wanted me to join them.

They caught me up on the lively conversation they had been having before I arrived - trying to trace back the origins of a small clock and a wine glass which he had found in the cupboard. I honestly felt I was in an Antiques Roadshow episode 😂

Time flew by as we chatted about many things. Mr. T's brother thanked me multiple times for "doing this" (the social visit). It is a real pleasure, I said, I enjoy the company as much. It felt nice to be thanked by a family member; just reaffirms how grateful the elderly person we are visiting can be, for just an hour of our time. Humbling.
