Thunder starter's orders
3 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Greenwich.
- Sunday, 23rd of October 2022
- Led by Rachel Henry
At 8am it was loud thunder and an absolute downpour. The weather forecast was ominous.
But soon afterwards the parkrun gods were on our side and the rain stayed at bay for just long enough for 22 young runners to complete Eltham junior parkrun. The sun even broke through for a few minutes.
Goodgymers Johnny, Peter and Sarah were there to help with marshalling, timekeeping and barcode scanning respectively.
This weekly GG task is always good fun, working alongside the other volunteers. Today it was an added bonus to have stayed dry.
It really was a narrow escape, though. The rain started again on the way home.
Sunday, runday, rainday!
