And the answer was prune, prune, prune until you can't prune no more!!! Those were the instructions that Aimee and I got on turning up at Mrs J's house, and we could see why. The shrubs were overgrown to such a degree that they were blocking the light to the house, and the entrance path as well.

So we got to it - Aimee with the secateurs (the single hand-held cutters) and Ellen on the strimmer. As you can see, Ellen really got into the strimming (a passion picked up from many, many, MANY gardening missions with Mikey). Aimee also went to town, cutting bushes down and even ripping trees out of the ground - she was amazing!

After 1.5 hours of strimming, cutting and ripping fun, we tidied up and voila - there was light! There was space! There was lots of leftover brush that couldn't fit into the green wheely bins! (where is Darren when you need him to climb in and stomp it down, huh?) So we said our goodbyes and jogged on back home. Not a bad 7k run for a Sunday morning!

Amazing work! Great to hear that more light will be able to come in.
