Popped back to see Mrs J today after a worried voicemail about her power being out was left at 7AM.

While I can relate to the struggles and frustrations of no power (not least due to the fact we had one ourselves the days before, and the realisation my laptop battery has a grand total of 30seconds off charge before it needs to take a nap - If I had a superpower, it would be killing batteries!) - as Mrs J is blind, and has no access to the internet, her phone and it's charger are her lifeline to the outside world - which is especially important as she is self-isolating. (rather puts my own power-less frustrations into perspective)

After calling Mrs J back to let her know I would pop around in between experiments that day to check for tripped switches, Mrs J also made some calls to the local authorities to get the real muscle (and brains!) out to help as a back up.

It was indeed a tripped switch, and the enginners at EDF were able to help her isolate the cuprite; the hobs! Sadly for Mrs J's little dog, freshly cooked beef mince is off the menu and sachets of dog food is back on, while Mrs J waits for a new one. In the mean time Mrs J has come up with a master plan of stacked cushions for her to climb upon to reach said switches and resolve the issue if it happens again; while not exactly health and safety optimal, as a fellow member of the <5ft 2" crew, we do have to be innovative when it comes to tall person jobs!!

Very happy to know the issue was resolved quickly, and was a lovely interlude to an otherwise stressful day to see Mrs J and her lovely doggie!
