Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
On a beautiful summers evening GoodGym Bristol returned to the site of our first ever task – Brandon Hill for a great task and for a summer bbq. We met as usual at the Folk House and then made our way over to the park. After a quick warm up we got stuck into the task, cutting back the epicormic growth on the lime trees on the grass on the paths around the hill. The trees were getting really overgrown, and were starting to obstruct the path.
We got stuck into the task with loppers and trimmers, working in pairs to cut back the branches on each tree and then putting all the branches into large builders bags. During the task we egged on by the sounds of Elton John coming over the walls of the school next door. After 30 minutes hard work, we dragged the bags back round to the shed and then got stuck into the exercise for the evening.
Pru took us expertly through a range of drills, including some kind of leg and arm slapping monster impression- great work everyone!
After the run we took advantage of the glorious weather with a bbq and some drinks in the park – awesome! Thanks to everyone that came, including Fraser who not only arrange the task but also came on the run.
