Despite both of us technically being Camden runners, I often seem to meet Sophie south of the river for an after-work mission.

Today was not a day for breaking with tradition, and I was looking forward to undertaking a speedy mission with her for Mr H in Lambeth.

Mr H is currently in hospital and needs space made for some assisted living equipment (read "commode"). To effect this, Sophie and I were to move a medium sized chest of drawers and two bedside cabinets from Mr H's bedroom to an outside communal bin area for collection by the council.

The mission was as simple and straightforward as we thought it would be (again, in keeping with tradition). After meeting Mrs H and enjoying the gorgeous (not at all dizzying) views, we were shown the three small drawers we were to move. We swiftly moved them to the lift, out of the building, and next to the bins, Sophie using the "drag/tug" technique for moving the drawers and me using the "carrying hug" technique. Simple! We said goodbye to Mrs H prior to getting into the lift, so we were probably done in less than 10 minutes 😎✌️

All that was left was to avoid engaging with the gentlemen who thought we were taking the drawers out of the bin, instead of putting them there (🙄😓😱<-- me on the train home imagining the logistics of transporting them back to Essex), and to jog off into the sunset 😎

'Til next time, Sophie! 😄
