Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Meanwhile in Westminster 18 brave souls headed deep into unknown territory in a bid to smash smash smash and move rubble down at Old Paradises yard.
Not even the Queen opening parliament was going to stop our Westminster goodgymers reaching their goal last night. On reflection perhaps it wasn't the best night of the year to run past the Houses of Parliament but we had work to do and nothing was going to stop us.
Expertly lead by Tom Tom (aka Charlotte) and with guest appearances on route made my Cory on his bike we weaved through tourists and important people dressed up - even a bride and groom in a phone box - to Old Paradise yard where we were greeted by Christina who had plenty for us to do.
We broke out into teams there were the compost turners, the crow bar crew - dismantling a massive box and the wheelbarrow and rubble rabble moving rubble from one site to another. We turned, lifted, carried, wheeled, crow barred and ran around the yard for half an hour. Then it was time to go on again.
Waving goodbye to ever charming host promising to return we picked up the pace across Westminster bridge. After a few sprints through St James and Green park just to make sure we were truly exhausted - goodgym style - we arrived back.
We were all experiencing some fairly intense hay fever symptoms and were covered in dust from the yard but we were all glowing (polite word for sweating) with the satisfaction that we were going to be sore tomorrow and we'd made a difference.
Til next time Westminster, Much love.
