Report written by Cloud (She/Her)
Far from fiction... Jyothsna looked like one serious cereal killer running up and down the food aisle stacking up all cereal boxes like there was no tomorrow! Plus, she is on a cinnamon roll with 11 tasks, well done!
Oranges, sweet potatoes, cabbages, tomato sauce, biscuits, legumes, pasta… our two GGers did a fantastic job sorting out Sainsbury’s delivery into crates in no thyme.
Oh and Jyothsna found herself in a pickle, but not with pickles, when she discovered all baked beans cans had been wrongly mixed with the spaghetti rings cans...oops!
Donut worry, she said! Romaine calm and lettuce find a butter place to store the spag! Snacktacular attitude, go Jyothsna!!
Brielieve it when we say, it’s been a berry enjoyable afternoon,
And souper productive!
Not a big dill, but we managed to get through around 20 crates which is a grape result!
Kiwis?? No, none turnip today.
All that hard work and the beauty of the Hub is that it’s a never ending task. Nuts, right? Everyday is a repeat: shifting and lifting, sorting, unloading deliveries, preparing deliveries and again! It’s fantastic becouscous it means food keeps coming in and out straight to local Food Banks to be delivered to families across North London.
Interested to know more about this charity?
Dates for Saturday shifts will be posted soon and we are feeling feta than ever about it!!
Keep up the grape work GGers and find your inner peas!
Ps; By the way, have you guessed where were the Cereal killers volunteering at? Put your detective hat on and find the answer in the report! (Yes, we know you can find it somewhere else too, but don’t leek the secret, let them think!)
