Report written by Shona Buchanan
It was lovely to be joined by Ella for her first session today - we hope to see you again soon!
We had our usual selection of jobs assigned by Julia tonight: scything, lopping and litter picking. Darren, Ella and Jade got to work scything. It was all of their first times on the scythes but you couldn't tell as they had cut back so much grass by the end of the session. Darren even managed to plant a new conspiracy theory by making what looked like a crop circle with his scythe.
Meanwhile, Matt got lopping and cut back brambles and other weeds all down the path to make it look beautiful, while I gathered in as much litter as I could (including a lot of smashed plates, which is becoming a bit of a Northern Slopes theme).
After an hour of hard work (such hard work that Darren even got a blister!) we were done for the evening and wished goodbye to Julia until next week.
