War-drobe to Peace-drobe
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.
- Saturday, 19th of December 2020
We arrived at Miss S ready to tackle the task. There were quite a few boxes scattered around.
The furniture to assemble were a wardrobe for her daughter room and a chest of drawers for her room.
We decide to star with the wardrobe and things went very smoothly and the shell was done in no time. However we were a bit stuck which other boxes were for it, which make us decide to build the chest of drawers (the rest would theoretically be for the wardrobe).
We were making resonnable progress when a set back came. Wrong screw in the wrong hole... We eventually manage to get them off and could now continue. Bits by bits it was coming nicely together and Paulin and myself were getting a hang if it.
Once done with this one we've realise that we were very shot in time so we decide to prioritise functionality over aesthetic for the wardrobe.
Miss S was very grateful for our mammoth effort and we felt happy that this mission has considerably improved some part of her life.
