We're definitely warming up to the festive season in Wandsworth, with the decorations being put up at our Battersea Arts Centre home last night as we were preparing for our run. And with only three more runs of 2017 left, we have to make the most of every Christmassy moment!

We kicked off the night on stage, which was most appropriate given our task later was going to be at the Omnibus theatre - a wonderful space that brings arts to the whole community and relies on volunteers to be able to keep the doors open.

We said welcome to Sarah, who joined us for the first time - lovely to have you with us! There was also a reminder about the amazing Mission Possible event which is happening on Sunday, and promises to be an afternoon of brilliant mass volunteering and a lot of fun as well, plus there is the GoodGym Christmas party on the 8th December, which is being held at none other than our very own starting place!

We soon headed outside for some nice warm ups, and had a quick poll to find out what everybody loved most about running. Well, most of us. While some admitted to not enjoying running (but....how?) other responses were to feel smug, strong, happy, to be with other lovely GGers, and to get away from the police.

It was a short run up to the theatre so we took it at a good pace, and arrived to find piles of buckets, newspapers and sponges waiting for us. Our job tonight was to scrub all the many windows until they shone, plus do a bit of extra polishing and cleaning around the place. Straight away you lovely lot started scaling windowsills and doors, jumping on chairs and even hitting the loos to get everything looking great. Will turned out to be the celebrity in our midst when he found out most of his school seemed to be there, with the children not quite believing their eyes. After 25 minutes of hard work, the whole theatre was gleaming, so we downed buckets and headed for the common to smash out a fitness session.

Tonight was bootcamp. We had 14 tough stations which we all did together, including sprints, back to back squats, mountain climbers, one legged squats, and much much more. After almost 15 minutes of exercises we were done, and all that was left was a little bit of fartlek on the way back to the BAC.

Job well done, team! Next week we're lending a hand to Evolve Housing and Support , a homeless charity based in and around London. They are organising a Christmas Campaign which we're helping to publicise. Sign up here to really make a difference in the lead up to Christmas.
