Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by John Shirley
John ran from Camden Town, Fiona shuffled over from Whetstone, and Liz Oyster-ed from Essex - all converging on Finchley, where Ms M needed a path cut through a dense thicket of foliage to access a water metre. Like ancient explorers searching for a golden fleece/holy grail/ancient lost city, the trio hacked, sliced and hedge-trimmed their way through the jungle, all the way to the neighbour's fence - but there was no water metre to be found! Eventually, sharp-eyed mission-queen Liz laid her eyes on it - our quest was complete! Having filled not just Ms M's council wheelie bin, but also part of a neighbour's, for good measure the Goodgymers cleared the way to the side alley, cut back greenery from the house window, and levelled the front hedge. All done, we went our separate ways, each aiming to get home before the expected return of the deluge.
