Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Tim Dickson
Yay!!! Another Monday, another Bexley Goodgym........ It was another scorcher as the gang started to arrive and sign in for our run and task to Welling Library. We needed all hands on deck for tonights task. We haven't been up to the library for a few weeks and it wasn't till we ran past it last week on our way to our Hospice task that we saw just how overgrown it had become.
Because it was so hot, and because we knew just how much we needed to do, i decided to take the direct route to the library via the high street. Susan took the front runners and i looked and coached to guys at the back. No one is ever left behind on our runs, so if this is something that worries you and stops you coming coming along and joining us, don't let it.......
NO ONE IS EVER LEFT BEHIND ON OUR RUNS
On arrival at the library the realization of how much everything had grown suddenly dawned on us. A couple of deep breaths and a group high five we got stuck in. Susan and Sarah got suck into the front gardens, **Cheryl, *Peter , **Emmanuel and Nick got to work on the alley way, leaving Neil, Chris, Debbie, Paul ** and **Matt to sort out the back area.
A COUPLE OF DEEP BREATHS AND A GROUP HIGH FIVE WE GOT STUCK IN
With time not on our side this evening we was in total work hard mode. With sweat on our brow, awesome team work, and 5 large rubbish sacks later we were done. Hopefully we had left enough in us to get back to basecamp Crooklog. After packing all the tools away, taking some water on-board, the compulsory posing for the photos, we picked our heels up and headed back to Crooklog to end another perfect Goodgym Monday. Well done everyone.........
