We fought the lawn… and the lawn won
6 GoodGymers made their way 1.7km to help the Parvaaz Project in Slough.

Tonight was a first of many ...
First time we helped at Parvaaz's new premises in Taplow
First task for Sutyee after her first marathon
First task for me after my first virtual marathon.
Your pace or mine
With all that weekend activity, there was no running involved tonight... the team were more than happy to walk the short distance at my snail's pace!
Shear joy
The task was to cut back all the shrubbery and mow the lawn, with newly purchased shears and mower we were raring to go!
With all the night lights out (it really is that time of year again!), we actually did really well to get the job done!
There is something theraputic about gardening in the dark! With a great team on hand... we were on a 'winning streak'
We had Sandy The Shearer! giving the hedge a really good cut back and sides
On the right we had Simmi The Strimmer cutting the bushes then off showing her mowing skills
Whilst Pam The Pruner pruned the hedges
The Cutter Claire had already made a start on the side bushes before we even got there... and last but not least we had
The Jack of all Trades Sutyee giving us the task overview and doing a bit of this and a bit of that!
Despite the tired heavy legs ... we all 'kicked grass'
We even saved Freddie the Frog from the blades of the lawn mower .. well done Pam for spotting him/her!
Round one complete, we agreed to rebook in another task in a few weeks time to finish off the areas we missed tonight.
