Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Sam Lefevre (he/him)
Sam arrived slightly early to have a coffee and a chat with Simon before they made their way to the Walled Garden to meet up with Jessie, Lindy, Katy, Ed and as it was just chucking it down; Michael.
Since the rain came down pouring, we all huddled under the tarp to stay protected as they discussed birthday traditions, what to do on a rainy day (like today) and what is everyone's go-to winter warmer.
After the rain had stopped, we proceeded with today's task which was to sort out the compost bays by the clubhouse. For at least a year, it has been neglected and not used properly. Thus, we had Lindy and Katy starting off with a litter pick as Ed sawed a few woody bits. Michael and Jessie were tasked to cut back the bramble that was growing on the compost bay.
As all these tasks were ticked, we proceeded to turn back the compost from Bays 2 and 3 into 1 to start the process all over again. Ed, Jessie and Katy teamed up to tackle this task.
Lindy and Michael finished off sawing more loose wood and twigs.
All in all, it was a great tidy up session.
