Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Two GG Islington regulars brightened Mrs F's day by clearing leaves, weeds and litter to maintain her lovely front and back gardens
GoodGym had helped Mrs F with her gardens in the summer but she has been unable to do the finishing touches herself as she was recovering from a recent operation: GoodGym to the rescue with a second visit! Lucy and I (Patrick) ran from our respective homes on a surprisingly mild Saturday morning to meet Mrs F and today's tasks were to:
A number of jobs but nothing that we couldn't handle.
Over the course of the mission we enjoyed my music and chatted about work, life, shoulders, coach running and Louise (Nurding/Redknapp)'s "hits" from the 90s which had featured in a pub quiz the previous night. We are also entering snail season (much to Lucy's displeasure!) and must have re-homed at least fifty.
The time flew by as it often does during a mission and, after just under two hours we had cleared three large pots of green waste, brightened up the garden and brightened Mrs F's day.
I heartily recommend kickstarting each day and weekend by doing something awesome for your body, your mind or someone else. There are plenty of opportunities on Saturday mornings to get fit or do good and with GoodGym we do both! Sign up for or learn more about missions here
