Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Adam Quigley
Amidst the disruption of the London Tube strike, three runners lent a helping hand to the Borough Food Cooperative, taking in delivery of donated surplus foods and refilling stock as the Forrest Gump Soundtrack filled the room.
The surprise of the day came when tasked to buy twenty four packs of wet wipes, fair to say we emptied the shelves of the local Tesco.
Well done and thank you to all!
The food cooperative provides members with low cost food to help reduce food bills and tackle food insecurity. It also reuses surplus food to prevent food being thrown away.
