What a difference a week makes!
6 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Portsmouth.
- Friday, 3rd of July 2020

The changeable weather this week hasn't encouraged beach parties and picnics, so there were no abandoned BBQs, drinks bottles or paper plates this week. Rachel, Maura, Catherine, Jo K, Sarah & I could focus on the usual bottle caps, fishing line and windblown litter caught in the patches of sea kale. Maura gathered this week's prize item - a pair of scissors and Jo found an unused parking permit for Hillingdon (random!) We made sure we didn't clear away the beach shoes of the serious sea swimmers.
Our gatherings amounted to less than one Colas bag of litter and we had the satisfaction of leaving a section of the beach spotlessly clean.
Only Sarah & I took the plunge of a sea dip afterwards - but it was oh SO worth it - Sarah gained some relief for her sciatica and I was bouncing ready for my induction into Salsa dancing!
