Report written by Samina
It was a dark and wet evening, and two keen Goodgymers met at Papagayo cafe. Tabitha started our warm up; waving our arms round and lifting them up to practice lifting movements in advance of the task ahead. Once warmed up, we ran in the rain to Kilburn to a local flowerbed. We were met by our host Diana who explained that there were a number of hidden tyres that had to be dug out from under the soil in the bed, to make way for some new flowers to be planted. It was tough, tyre-ing work. Thankfully the rain had stopped, but it was not well lit so we had to rely on torches and phone lights to find the tyres under the soil. After lots of digging, tugging, and pulling, we managed to free the tyres from the weeds and geraniums and carry them out of the bed. Then we rolled these tyres to the end of the road to be collected. Our run back to home ground was lit by colourful fireworks for Diwali!
