During a lovely walk along the Norfolk coast I came across a stretch of Salthouse Beach (North Norfolk) strewn with plastic waste. Bottles, lids, bits of cable, packaging and the remains of several large helium balloons. Not one to walk on by I went to my trusty plastic bag store in my rucksack and began to collect. Thankfully the metre high balloons packed right down. By the end the bag was full, you could look down the pebble beach horizon and no more plastic waste was reflecting in the sunshine. Not bad for an hours work.
