Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Lucy Hill
I thought that picking up a prescription for Mrs L would have been a simple task, however, arriving at the pharmacy in Acton, I was mistaken. I joined the end of the queue which snaked down the street, and waited. And waited. And waited. It was a med-uctive task. But after an hour and fourteen minutes I was finally in, and another twenty minutes later, the prescription was picked up in its paper bag, ready for Mrs L! I was lucky - Lloyd’s was closing as I left, and there was a bit of a ruckus occurring in the queue still outside. Note to anyone who is going to a pharmacy to pick up anything, PLEASE be kind, and please be patient. The people working in there are humans too, and they’re doing brilliant work with a very stressful and tiring job at the moment. I thanked the pharmacists, and hopped on my bike for the speedy saunter to Mrs L’s flat round the corner. Mrs L was extremely grateful to have her prescription delivered, and I left f-Ealing full of gratitude that I’d done something great.
