A magnificent 21 runners hit the damp streets of Liverpool to help out at a community transport organisation.
With a plague hitting loads of regulars (could it be anything to do with #GGSuperSaturday and our social this weekend?) I was worried that we wouldn't have a big team tonight. In spite of the threat of down pours on the forecast, Team Liverpool proved that they aren't just fair weather runners.
After a short run (all downhill apart from that bit uphill, right?!) to South Central Community Transport the team soon got to work. The task was to wash and clean five mini-buses, inside and out. Five buses may seem like a huge task, but this team really made light work of it and we were done within half an hour.
A big shout out and welcome to three fab newbies - well done Baptiste, Molly and Katie, do come and run with us again soon.
With time to spare, the team enjoyed (!!!) a fun fitness session including hill sprints and agility drills. Before a not too steep climb back to our Hope Street base.
Great work team. Next week it is the run is quite a bit further, so if you're not up for ready for that challenge, the following week is walkable - so sign-up.
Thanks for coming out and doing good whatever the weather.
P.S. Kudos to Sam for the inspiration behind the title pun :)
