Woking GoodGymers must have been getting their BBQ ready for tonight Euro final as I was the only one from our group cheering the children. But several other local running clubs were volunteering as well as parents, so the junior parkrun could take place.

Rich, a long standing GoodGym supporter, was the run director for the first time. He managed the 133 runners (75 boys and 55 girls) efficiently but had to wait for the two timekeepers before the run could start…

Among the children running, 16 were taking part in parkrun for the first time and 30 got a Personal Best. The finish line was crossed after a run which lasted 7:48 and the tail runner took 24:33.

It was a great day to run and there was a loooong queue at the ice-cream van!

Next Wednesday we will meet at the Leisure Centre to do some litter picking and will gather at the local pub to celebrate our fantastic team.

Happy running to you all.
