Weekend shifts at Oxford Mutual Aid can sometimes include some unexpected changes. Today was one such day, involving a list mix-up, some re-packing and a ticking clock!

Undeterred by the tasks ahead, four Goodgymers rolled up their sleeves and put their shoulders to the grind-stone (socially distanced off course) and got to work.

Parcels were re-organised - families of 3 became families of 6, provisions for adults were replaced with nappies and milk for babies, unwanted tins were swapped for easily prepared vegetables and a delicious range of bread. Anna packed some food parcels from scratch and we were even able to do a bit of re-stocking and cleaning before the van driver arrived to whisk the boxes off to their new homes.

Thank you to Anna, Zoe and Katie for their amazing hard work and providing biscuits. I have now added chocolate coated malted milks to my shopping list, my biscuit tin will never be the same again.
