Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Emma
8 runners returned to Surrey Docks farm for the second community mission of the summer! We continued the weeding task from last week which would mean that the Plot to Shop area would be ready for their students on Monday! Although the plants had been well looked after, the paths were a little neglected - they're looking pretty great now after two sessions!
Once we'd spent a good hour and a half on the weeding we were allowed to go into the goat pen! But no goat cuddles until after we'd swept their poo away! (Not a trip to the farm without some poo shoveling!) Once this was done we got to say hello to the goats. Dom and Abi discovered that if you sit on the floor, the goats and the kids will climb on you for a proper cuddle.
Surrey Docks Farm is run by a charity and provides education for school children, young people and adults with learning difficulties. Our work helps with essential maintenance and helps them keep the farm operating.
