Your obedient servants, G.Gym
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.
- Sunday, 17th of June 2018
Danny and James joined forces to help Mrs C with some gardening at her place in Islington on a lovely Sunday morning.
We were met by Mrs C’s daughters who showed us through to the backyard and a selection of weeds and overgrown hedges awaiting our attentions.
As their mum can’t take care of the garden herself it had been growing a bit wild recently. That’s where we came in. We were going to tame this patch so she didn’t have to worry about it.
We’d be supervised by a quality control committee comprising one worried looking Wee-chon and a slightly more composed Bichon Frise. Undaunted by our sniffing scrutineers, we yanked the weeds out doggedly and took turns teaching the hedgeline how to heel with help of an electric hedge-trimmer.
Before long we had filled 6 rubbish waste bags, broken 3 brooms (whoops) and gained the approval of 2 furry friends - not to mention Mrs C and her daughters - by turning this untamed backyard into an obedient and really quite fetching garden. Certainly a candidate for Best in Show.
