It was quite a spectacle at Mousehold Heath this evening as we were treated to a beautiful rainbow as we were about to take our group photo.
Jen and Bobby lead the run from The Forum with several others cycling too.
This was possibly our biggest turnout since post-covid, with 23 of us making an appearance.
It was the last bracken pulling session of the summer. Will met us with pitch forks (in a nice way) so we could pile up the pulled bracken... and there was a lot of it!
What a lovely evening with the sunset coming over as we finished up for the evening. A few people stopped at the pub on the way back to have a well deserved drink.

Tonight 13 GoodGymer's ran or cycled 6km to Eaton Park in the sunshine.
At the task we met Helen and Linda from the Friends of Eaton Park, who gave out tools to help tidy up the pétanque pitch.
We used trowels and delicate fingers to pull up any weeds, being careful not to tear or pierce the underlying mesh lining. After filling a wheelborrow full of weeds, we used rakes and brushes to level out the gravel.
High Five's to Tom who joined us on his first Good Deed!
After a swift 30mins the pitch was looking in a much better shape. Helen thanked us for our efforts and told us about many exciting events taking place in the park over the summer, such as bands playing, wildlife talks and late licence opening hours of the cafe! Take a look on their website & socials for more info!

Tonight we had our first ever visit to the Priscilla Bacon Hospice charity shop in Anglia Square, to help them sort through donations.
Its always great to help new organisations and new tasks.
Adam, the shop manager, let us in and showed us the ropes of what needed to be done.
Before long, everyone was getting stuck in.
Please be careful with the use of the photo of Stephen Reed doing the hoovering... he is worried his wife will see it and get him doing it at home.
We got loads done in 50 minutes, despite me distracting people with the whoopie cushion.
Thank you to Priscilla Bacon Hospice for having us, we look forward to visiting again in the future.

Jenny, Tasha, Elizabeth, Andy, Jonathan, Bobby arrived within half an hour of each other. Jenny had started by filling shelves and then Andi gave us a tour of the new shop opening Thursday. Flat pack furniture was our task today 🙈 Tasha was on her own putting together a file cabinet for the office, Jenny & Elizabeth put together two lovely chairs for the quiet room, Andy completed another chair on his own. Bobby and Jonathan put together the staff lockers. Great job everyone. We finished tidying up box’s, & packaging, posed for a photo, job done. We wish The Feed well for their opening Thursday, a community shop, unfortunately much needed in the current very difficult financial climate. The pleasing thing is the number of companies big and small who are donating goods to this worthy cause. Also fresh foods from those with allotments with excess produce, such a good idea
