14 GoodGymers from Norwich got stuck in at Mousehold Heath to clear an area of Broom and Gorse.
The area we covered is normally clear from when it snows and its all pushed down from people sledging. Sadly as we haven't had any snow in Norwich for a few years, this has started to become overgrown.
It was one of Norwich's best locations, with a stunning view overlooking Norwich City Centre, as you can see from the photos.

It was a brisk Sunday morning after a sharp frost, but it didn't stop lots of people turning out in Lakenham to help create thriving habitats for lizards.
We welcomed Danni who was taking part in her first GoodGym session.
There were also two other community groups helping at the task: Wild Lakenham and LTC.
The majority of people where cutting back brambles and other areas, while some others did a litter pick.
The morning was finished off with some lovely, well earned refreshments.

It was quite a spectacle at Mousehold Heath this evening as we were treated to a beautiful rainbow as we were about to take our group photo.
Jen and Bobby lead the run from The Forum with several others cycling too.
This was possibly our biggest turnout since post-covid, with 23 of us making an appearance.
It was the last bracken pulling session of the summer. Will met us with pitch forks (in a nice way) so we could pile up the pulled bracken... and there was a lot of it!
What a lovely evening with the sunset coming over as we finished up for the evening. A few people stopped at the pub on the way back to have a well deserved drink.

Tonight 13 GoodGymer's ran or cycled 6km to Eaton Park in the sunshine.
At the task we met Helen and Linda from the Friends of Eaton Park, who gave out tools to help tidy up the pétanque pitch.
We used trowels and delicate fingers to pull up any weeds, being careful not to tear or pierce the underlying mesh lining. After filling a wheelborrow full of weeds, we used rakes and brushes to level out the gravel.
High Five's to Tom who joined us on his first Good Deed!
After a swift 30mins the pitch was looking in a much better shape. Helen thanked us for our efforts and told us about many exciting events taking place in the park over the summer, such as bands playing, wildlife talks and late licence opening hours of the cafe! Take a look on their website & socials for more info!
