Chilling Out

Merton Report written by Caroline Helder

It was minus 6 degrees early this morning! However that didn’t deter 479 brave participants from turning up at the common. It turned out to be worth it, as it was a lovely sunny day despite the cold. My volunteer role was to write the event report and upload photos, (available shortly on the News page of Wimbledon parkrun’s website). Hope to see more GoodGymers here soon.

Merton Report written by Caroline Helder

Two GoodGymers were marshalling and I was writing the parkrun report/running at this popular event. We also ran into (!) John, an experienced GoodGymer from Camden. On such a damp, chilly morning it was nice to warm our hands over a cup of tea in the cafe afterwards. Thanks to the Wimbledon team for having us and for letting Jade practise her public speaking from the bench - while promoting GoodGym of course! It was a great way to get the word out about what we are doing in Merton.
